We recognise that individual shipyards have differing requirements dependent on their size and scope activities. Therefore a specially designed programme is the most efficient and whenever possible we prefer to design a specific, individual wording and tailored to meet the particular requirements of individual clients.
Our activities in Shipyards and Building Risks includes but are not limited to the following:-
- Shipyard Covers or individual constructions.
- Conversion Risks.
- Package policies which can be tailored to clients' needs. Such policies could for example include sections for Builders Risks, Ship Repairers' Legal Liability and floating dry-docks.
- Delayed/Non-Delayed Delivery Coverage in conjunction with the builders risks policy (normally from a peril insured against).
- Builder's Guarantee (this can depend on market conditions) in conjunction with Builder's Risks policy.
- Yard Covers, Conversion Risks and/or Package Policies can be extended to provide coverage for tows and/or movements, including lay up periods as may be required.
- War and Strikes etc., risks can be incorporated into most Builder's Risks policies.
